16-slot cassette
The first cassette concept is a 4 by 4, 16-slot carrier for comparing one AAV condition across a matched panel of cells, states, or readouts.
One cassette, one condition
One cassette should represent one capsid, promoter, payload, dose, or other defined AAV condition.
The 16 slots are for the panel being compared under that condition. Scale comes from running more matched cassettes in parallel.
Why this is hard
Cells are sensitive to stress, bubbles, flow imbalance, evaporation, handling differences, temperature drift, and contamination posture.
The cassette has to be boring in the right way: reproducible, inspectable, documented, and validated before anyone reads too much into a biology result.
